Methodological aspect of assessing the effectiveness of import substitution

The relevance of studying the processes of import substitution in our country has recently increased greatly. This process is complex due to many circumstances and can be viewed from various aspects. Such diversity and contradictory dynamics of processes occurring in the global economic space significantly complicate the assessment of the effectiveness or efficiency of import substitution procedures. All this together leads to the need to develop a methodology for assessing the effectiveness of import substitution. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to develop comprehensive indicators for assessing the effectiveness of import substitution, allowing us to assess the effectiveness of these processes in the country’s economy and predict areas of activity that increase their effectiveness. The article also identifies priority directions for the development of import substitution procedures that are of great relevance for our state.
