Evaluation of the effectiveness of clinic-pathological and radiological diagnosis of pulmonary hamartomas

The article discusses the evaluation of the effectiveness of clinicopathological and radiological diagnosis of pulmonary hamartomas. We performed a retrospective clinicopathological and radiological review of patients diagnosed (2011-2022) with multiple hamartomas, lesions occurring adjacent to a coexisting malignant lung tumor, and tumors with predominantly extrapulmonary localization. As a result, of 179 patients diagnosed with lung hamartoma, 6 (0.6%) had multiple hamartomas, 4 (0.4%) had hamartomas adjacent to lung adenocarcinoma, and 2 (0.2%) had large mediastinal masses.
