Assessment of methods of forest management and forest protection regulations

The article analyzes the methods of regulating forest management and protection of the forest environment under environmental constraints in terms of their compliance with the criteria of sustainable forest management. It shows their ineffectiveness in addressing the challenges of promoting the rational use of forest resources, to achieve the desired quality of the forest environment, minimizing the cost of forest protection. To resolve these problems, a mechanism for improving forest management based on the evaluation of forest capital has been proposed.
