Evaluating the efficiency of the country's forest industry using statistical analysis

The study is devoted to assessing the efficiency of the country's forest industry enterprises. At the moment, this sphere, with a huge resource potential, reaches rather low economic indicators. Its role and weight in the country's economy may be significantly higher. The main purpose of the study is to assess the current state of the industry, identify the most successful regions in this regard and determine their competitive advantages, which can be taken into account everywhere. The main research methods are statistical and cluster analysis, the study of scientific literature sources. Based on the results of the work, the leading regions in the forest industry with the highest profitability indicators were identified; the conditions and methods of operation of enterprises that allow achieving such results were established. It is concluded that the spread of the shown practices to all production structures of the Russian forest industry will significantly increase their efficiency and competitiveness.
