One of the most extensive branches of crop production is the cultivation of protected ground vegetables, which are on the list of products that provide the most important human needs for a full diet. It is this category of products that has the highest amount of vitamins and minerals in them compared to other food products, while it is low-calorie. These factors have a significant impact on the presence of a large proportion of vegetable products in the structure of a balanced human diet. Eating vegetables helps to strengthen the health of the population and increase collective immunity, which is quite an important condition during a pandemic. The production of vegetables of protected soil acquires special relevance in the conditions of agglomeration. The Saratov region is located in a light zone favorable for greenhouse vegetable growing, in this regard, the cultivation of vegetables in the closed ground on the territory of the Saratov region is economically justified.
