The evaluation of efficiency of the Volgograd department of logistics of the Russian Railways company at the expense of technological processes optimization

The main problem of domestic enterprises is the low level of productivity. This problem is systemic in nature, as the productivity largely determines the economic performance of the country as a whole, and, consequently, the level of economic development. Currently in Russia and abroad the concept of lean production has been actively developed; it is a set of methods and tools, the application of which is intended to improve productivity, primarily by reducing the time of production. In any system, in all processes (production engineering, healthcare, transport companies etc.) there are hidden losses. The identification and removal of these losses annually saves enormous resources to organizations that regularly evaluate their activities according to the standards of lean manufacturing. It should be noted that the effectiveness of the application of the lean production concept is proven, however, due to the continuous changes of requirements to base components of production systems methods of this direction, there is need in a systematic review. The article presents the analysis of the results of the application of lean production in the Volgograd department of logistics of the Russian Railways company. Assessment of technical and technological losses was carried out by mapping. The authors propose a number of measures to achieve maximum economic effect from the introduction of lean production. The results of the analysis can be used to optimize the production process in the structural divisions of the Russian Railways company.
