Statement of the problem. Each sport imposes its own demands on the athlete’s level of body flexibility. Flexibility, as a physical quality, is necessary for the technical performance of elements and exercises, which leads to minimizing injuries and increasing results in competitive activities. In Greco-Roman wrestling, the back muscles are more involved, since the main technical techniques in this type of martial arts are throws over the back. The purpose of the article is to identify the effectiveness of the influence of a set of exercises on the morphofunctional state of the body of Greco-Roman wrestlers. Proper recovery after the training process plays a significant role in an athlete’s performance. It is necessary to pay attention not only to the physical state, but also to the emotional one, since they are interconnected. Stretching and myofascial release (hereinafter referred to as MFR) are one of the means to solve this issue [Korobova, Chernysheva, 2019]. However, in Greco-Roman wrestling, this type of recovery is not common among athletes. In the article we will consider the influence of stretching in combination with MFR on the body of Greco-Roman wrestlers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory team. The methodology includes analysis of scientific and methodological literature, observation, pedagogical experiment, the PNF-stretching method, the Static stretching method, the MFR method, measuring flexibility of a spinal column, a method for assessing the state of an autonomic nervous system and the cardiovascular system using the VNS-MICRO hardware complex, and a method of statistical data processing. Research results. The study involved seven wrestlers from the Krasnoyarsk Territory national team. Based on the results of the study, it was possible to establish that during three months of the pedagogical experiment, the flexibility of their spinal column improved by 23.58 % and the stress index decreased by 57.7 %. In addition, a positive trend was identified in such indicators as body mass index (hereinafter referred to as BMI), chest excursion, and heart rate (hereinafter referred to as HR).
