The article presents and evaluates various approaches to the classification of factors affecting the management of the quality of customs services. The quality assessment of all customs services is determined using the structural-logical diagram of the management system and the factors affecting management are investigated. The study developed a fundamentally new methodology for assessing the quality of customs services. Having studied the theoretical foundations of managing the quality of customs services, we systematized the views of various authors on the concept of «customs service» and their approaches to the classification of customs services. As a result of the study, it was concluded that under the customs service, most researchers understand the result of the activities of customs authorities, the purpose of which, on the one hand, is to implement the functions of the state, and on the other, to satisfy the needs of participants in foreign economic activity.
