The purpose of the study is to search for the main cluster-oriented economic activities of the Altai Regional Consumer Union, which took the top place in the integral rating when assessing the clustering potential of consumer unions in the Siberian Federal District. In the process of research and calculations, a complex of general scientific (comparison) and private methods of cognition (graphical, computational and constructive, economic and statistical) was used. A quantitative assessment of the clustering potential of consumer unions in the Siberian Federal District, conducted as part of the first stage according to the ranking methodology, revealed the leader - the Altai Regional Consumer Union. The evaluation considered the time period 2011-2020. The study of the territory made it possible to identify competitive advantages that are decisive when creating a cluster. To search for cluster-oriented industries of the Altai Regional Consumer Union, calculations of an integral indicator were carried out, which allowed us to conclude that the highest prospects for creating clusters on the territory of the Altai region with the participation of consumer cooperation organizations are inherent in such types of economic activity as “Retail trade and catering” and “Industrial production”. The paper reveals the practical aspect of the study based on the assessment of the clustering potential and the search for cluster-oriented industries of the Altai Regional Consumer Union.
