Evaluation of combining ability in sunflower lines for main yield characters

General (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) evaluation is a very important step in the sunflower hybrid devel-opment program. The aim of our study was to evaluate GCA and SCA of new VNIIMK inbred lines, including high oleic and confectionary lines. As a result the most prospective lines were identified for the future work - restorer line VK-930, high oleic lines VK-900 and VK-941, confectionary lines K-3 and K-4.
