Evaluation of competitiveness of Sosnovskoe LLC, Omsk region

The article discusses the concept and practical application of the Herfindahl-Hirschman coefficient for assessing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in one of the municipal districts of the Omsk region. The Herfindahl-Hirschman index does not characterize the market share controlled by several major companies, but the distribution of market share among all subjects of a given market. The subjects were considered to be enterprises located in the given municipal area, operating in the market of agricultural products. As a result of the calculations, it was found that LLC Sosnovskoye belongs to the outsiders of the market with a deteriorating competitive position. Therefore, the company needs measures to improve its competitiveness.
