Assessment of interregional social and economic inequality of the regions of the Far Eastern federal district and ways of its reduction

The article is devoted to assessment the degree of interregional social and economic inequality of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. In the dynamics of recent years, the main indicators characterizing the social and economic spheres were analyzed; integral coefficients were calculated, as well as the localization index, variation range, inverse oscillation coefficient by the value of the average per capita gross regional product. It is shown that in all regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (with the exception of the Sakhalin Region) in recent years, GRP has increased; in some regions, there is a lag in achieving the target indicators established in the Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025; for individual regions, the narrowing of the economic space is inherent. Problems identified and directions for reducing socio-economic inequality of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.
