Assessment of the reliability of a gantry crane for elasticity when lifting a load

This article discusses the problem of assessing the reliability of gantry cranes, taking into account the elastic deformations that occur when lifting cargo. The paper analyzes the existing methods for assessing the reliability of lifting cranes, identifies the features of calculating gantry cranes and taking into account elastic deformations in strength and stability calculations. Criteria for the reliability of mechanical systems based on limiting conditions are formulated. A mathematical model of a gantry crane is being developed, taking into account the elastic properties of structural elements, and a theoretical analysis of the stress-strain state of the crane is being carried out under various loading conditions. The reliability of a gantry crane is evaluated based on selected criteria, the probability of trouble-free operation is determined, taking into account elastic deformations, and the safety margin coefficient is calculated. Recommendations for improving the reliability of gantry cranes are proposed, including design optimization, selection of materials with high strength properties, reinforcement of individual structural elements, the introduction of additional rigidity elements and regular maintenance.
