Assessment of prospects for smoothing the differentiation of the economic space of the regions

The author's approach to the assessment of interregional differentiation is proposed. The concept of "potential for smoothing the differentiation of the economic space of region is introduced. A comprehensive system of indicators has been developed that makes it possible to carry out a typology of regions, monitor the process of smoothing regional differentiation, and develop proposals for adjusting measures of state regulation of regional development. The proposed methodological approach is tested on the basis of statistical data on the subjects of the Russian Federation. The study was carried out with the financial support of the RFBR in the framework of scientific project No. 18-010-01177 - “A”.
