Estimation of using perspectivity of Borado officinalis L. from the point of view of its ecological purity and opportunity of introduction in culture

The opportunity of introduction in culture and ecological purity of Borago officinalis L. from the family Bo-raginaceae - a source of essential polynonsaturated γ-linolen acid is studied. It is established, that Borago offi-cinalis L. easily gives in to plant introduction in conditions of Pyatigorsk state pharmaceutical Academy bo-tanic garden. Germination seeds has made 90%, actual seed productivity - 60,5 g/m2, productivity of fresh biomass - 2970 g/m2. By method of spectral analysis it is certain the quantitative maintenance of toxic ele-ments (Pb, Zn, B, Co, Cu, Mo, Ni, Cr, Ba, V, Mn, Sr) in seeds, roots and elevated part of a plant which did not exceed maximum concentration limit, established by SanPin 2.3.2.560-96.
