Estimation of the breeding value of brown Swiss bulls using multiple linear regression methods

Бесплатный доступ

This article examines the degree of relationship and influence of genomic indices (milk productivity, fattening qualities and fitness) on the overall breeding value of Brown Swiss breeding bulls. Multiple linear regression was used to model the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The expected relationships between the studied values were studied using two methods - Enter and stepwise inclusion. The proportion of variance in the response variable for the presented methods was 92.1%, 41.7%, and 90.8% of the variance. The assessment of the influence of factors on the studied trait had a significant difference of no more than 0.0005. The average values of total breeding value when constructing the regression equation were 141.6; 138.7; 141.4 respectively.
