Animal husbandry is the most important branch of the agro-industrial complex. The food security of the country depends on its state. One of the main ways to increase labor productivity in animal husbandry is the rational organization of labor activity (in our case, when milking cattle), aimed at combating fatigue and quickly restoring working capacity. A characteristic feature of the organization of labor in dairy cattle breeding is the increased technological heterogeneity, the repetition of labor processes. The universality of workers can be attributed to the distinctive features of the organization of labor in dairy cattle breeding. The regime of work and rest for personnel engaged in milking cattle is divided into intra-shift, daily, weekly, monthly and annual. Establishing optimal boundaries for the beginning and end of the working day is one of the most difficult tasks in the entire problem of organizing rational regimes of work in animal husbandry. It is solved taking into account many factors. The article considers intra-shift and daily work schedules of livestock workers, their characteristics are given. There have been taken into account the factors when improving the regimes of work and rest are given. The development of the regimes of work and rest must be carried out taking into account the more efficient use of available machinery and equipment. It’s also necessary to take into account the type of animal feeding when developing the regimes of work and rest. When improving the regimes of work, it is especially important to take into account the age of personnel. Studies have shown that younger workers with a relatively high educational level make higher demands on the regime of work than older workers. It has been established that the highest human performance is between 8 am-1 pm or 2 pm and 3 pm-6 pm. It is during these hours that the mechanical physiological activity of the body is manifested. The most optimal is the three-time mode of milking cows with equal intervals between milkings. It is exactly under the mechanical physiological activity of the body manifests its highest productive qualities.
