The article describes the features and methods of assessment and certification of bank personnel using a competency model. The advantages of its use in the organization's personnel management system are shown. The most important competences for banking are described. This article also discusses modern approaches to the assessment of bank employees, substantiates their possible modifications in the personnel management system of a credit institution.
