Assessment of the development of small enterprises in the region

The world economies pay great attention to development of small and medium business because they are considered to be more mobile and adapted to changes in the economy. Despite the advantages, there are many problems associated with the formation and operation of small and medium-sized business, in particular, the dependence of small business on the external development. The problem is compounded with the fact that it requires substantial financial support, encouragement of development of small business by public authorities and other measures. In spite of the fact that regional authorities provide organizational and economic support, maintenance and financing of the implementation of priority investment and innovative projects, all these measures are insufficient for effective development. As practice shows, fast turnover of small business takes place and requires assessment and identification of problems of a weak state of development of small business. The article identifies the main challenges the small entrepreneurship faces.
