Assessment of resource provision and the role of households in the region economy based on the methodology of the system of national accounts

Introduction. The relevance of the study is associated with an increase in the role of households in the socio-economic development of the Russian regions and the country as a whole. At the same time, the lack of systematic studies of households' resource supply, assessment of the efficiency of accumulation and use of available resources leads to unreasonably underestimation of the importance of households as a major subject of economic growth. Aims. Develop methodological approaches to improving the tools for measuring the resource provision of households and their role in the region economy. Methods. The assessment of the resource supply of households is based on the use of the system of national accounts methodology for calculating the value of newly created added value by households, which is the basis for the growth of their wealth. The main indicators for assessing the contribution of the household sector and its resources to the production and consumption of goods make it possible to measure the general state of the economy of the territories at any given time. Based on it, indicators are compiled that are aggregated into the contribution indicator by types of economic activity in the gross regional product. Results. Approaches have been developed to improve the methodological tools for measuring and assessing the provision of household resources in the region with respect to the value added and final consumption of goods and services included in the system of national accounts. The value of households has been estimated and their impact on the dynamics of regional development using the example of Kurgan region and other entities of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District. Conclusions. Approbation of a methodological approach to assessing the resource supply of households indicates that it allows improving the quality of the information base in determining the state of households and its real contribution to the region economy, which is real important in compiling strategic directions of regional socio-economic development.
