Evaluation of the effectiveness of the industrial enterprise management system: basic approaches

The relevance of the study of the sustainable development of industrial enterprises is due to the increasing dynamics of the external business environment, characterized by geopolitical instability, climate change and growing demands on business social responsibility. The successful operation of an enterprise in such conditions requires an integrated approach that takes into account both internal and external factors. This means the need to simultaneously address challenges aimed at ensuring one's own sustainable development (endogenous approach) and contributing to the sustainable development of society (exogenous approach). As part of the endogenous approach, special attention is paid to optimizing production processes, reducing resource consumption, and implementing the principles of a closed-loop economy. This involves not only increasing the efficiency of using raw materials and energy, but also minimizing waste and emissions, as well as developing environmentally friendly technologies. The exogenous approach, in turn, focuses on the interaction of the enterprise with the external environment, including consumers, suppliers, local communities and authorities. The key role here is played by the social responsibility of business, manifested in job creation, support for local initiatives, respect for human rights and participation in solving social problems. The integration of endogenous and exogenous approaches requires the development of an integrated management system that takes into account all aspects of sustainable development. Such a system should include clear goals and indicators, monitoring and control mechanisms, and tools for evaluating the effectiveness of measures taken. The proposed mechanism for identifying the functional viability of an industrial enterprise's management system will make it possible to assess how effectively the enterprise implements the principles of sustainable development and which factors have the greatest impact on its activities. The results of the study will form the basis for the development of a sustainable development strategy aimed at ensuring long-term competitiveness and contributing to public welfare.
