Purpose: to analyze the significance of stress levels and psychology of eating behavior in people with hereditary predisposition for psoriasis for assessment of psoriasis manifestation risk in the next three years. Material and Methods. Two hundred eighty seven people aged 21-63 years with newly diagnosed psoriasis were investigated. All patients were surveyed using Holmes - Rahe Stress Inventory to assess their stress levels and Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire to determine the type of their eating behavior. Results. It has been established that external and emotional eating behavior in people with hereditary predisposition to psoriasis is an unfavorable prognostic factor for manifestation of dermatosis at an earlier age. Conclusion. In persons with hereditary burden index over 0.6 units psoriasis can manifest with stress level below 150 points, as determined by Holmes - Rahe questionnaire, while in persons with a hereditary burden index below 0.2 units disease manifestation is largely associated with a stress level over 300 points.
