Evaluation of the role of the Bolsheviks in the Krasnoyarsk armed uprising of 1905-1906 by Soviet historians

The article examines the Soviet literature on the role of Social Democrats in the Krasnoyarsk armed uprising during the First Russian Revolution. As a result of the analysis of historiographical sources of the 1920-1980s, the author reveals the facts of a clear predominance of ideological and didactic tasks in them. This was determined by the need to promote the traditions of the Bolshevik Party and the experience of class struggle for ideological education of masses. At the same time, the identification of the party leadership of the uprising did not exclude scientific interests that began to arise at the final stage of Soviet historiography. However, the rigid framework of the official ideology prevented the creation of qualitatively new works on this problem.
