The problems of increasing the strength of T-welded joints are considered. Technological actions for increase resilience of welded units of designs of northern execution to cold cracks were developed. In this work, the possibility of increasing the technological strength in multi-pass welding was shown. When creating a cast structure in the weld zone to pre-surfacing on welded edges, the failure probability of lamellar cracks is reduced. It has been found experimentally that, using of computational methods for the development of the technological mode of welding and selection of the preheating temperature in conditions of low climatic temperatures.
