Assessment of customs control of fissile and radioactive materials

Customs authorities have the authority to conduct customs control of goods and vehicles, including for the search of goods containing elevated levels of ionizing radiation or fissile and radioactive substances. The article considers the main theoretical aspects of customs control of fissile and radioactive materials, as well as an empirical analysis of some indicators of customs control. In conclusion, the conclusions of the study are presented.
