The relevance of the study is due to the high incidence of anxiety and depressive disorders and a decrease in the quality of life in patients with cardiovascular diseases. The paper presents an analysis of data obtained as a result of a survey of 61 patients (25 women and 36 men) aged 40-85 years who were undergoing rehabilitation after cardiac surgery at the Kirov State Medical University clinic. The survey was conducted using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the SF-36 Quality of Life Assessment questionnaire. It is shown that 42 respondents had anxiety-depressive disorders and the values of all the studied scales of psychological and physical components of health, regardless of gender, were significantly reduced. The study is of practical importance for improving the understanding of the influence of psychological factors on the results of cardiac surgery and the development of effective strategies for the support and rehabilitation of patients after surgery.
