Assessment of the level of digitalization of production processes in the context of improving efficiency activities of the enterprise

The key trend in the development of the state, business and society at the present stage is the transition to a digital economy - digitalization. At the same time, today there is no generally accepted interpretation of this concept as a phenomenon. The purpose of this article is to develop the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of digitalization as a factor in increasing the efficiency of an enterprise. In the course of the research, content analysis of scientific publications and analytical reports on digitalization problems was used, economic and statistical analysis of time series of indicators characterizing the development trends of the digitalization process was carried out. The author's definition of digitalization was proposed, a set of indicators and a system of their weighting factors were developed to assess the level of digitalization for an individual enterprise. The study made it possible to formulate a theoretical basis and update the development of an integral indicator of the level of digitalization of an enterprise.
