There are presented six years (2011-2016) results of studying of five sunflower ( Helianthus annuus L.) varieties and a hybrid in the southern forest-steppe of the Western Siberia. The new varieties: middle confectionary Baloven and early high oleic Varyag and confectionary Sibirsky-12 - have high potential of seed yield (more than 3 t per ha). The best conditions for seed yield formation of the studied sunflower varieties were in 2016. Factors ‘year' and ‘variety' had the controlling influence on yield formation in research conditions: 46.69% and 19.95%, respectively. This certifies the prevailing share of environmental effects on years of research and importance of their impact on phenotypic variability of yield. Significance of factor relation (27.75%) proves that the further increase in sunflower yield is possible by highly productive adaptive varieties. Very early high oleic variety Irtysh having bi = 1 is environmentally adapted, i.e. comparably reacts on environments changes. The oil variety Sibirsky-97 and especially confectionary variety Baloven having bi > 1possess higher responsiveness to changes of cultivation conditions. At improvement of agricultural technics these varieties are able to increase seed yield. Highly productive varieties Varyag and Sibirsky-12 showed high stability and neutral reaction on changes in cultivation conditions. Accounting all these traits as productivity, stability, plasticity and ultrastabiltiy, varieties Varyag and Sibirsky-12 can be considered as the most adaptive from all studied varieties in this work.
