The article presents the data of the monitoring of the conditions that have developed in the region, contributing to the formation of production potential. The principle of forming a list of enterprises for research is indicated, the number of managers involved as respondents is indicated, and the main tasks of the survey are given. The results of the survey are given, according to which an assessment of the investment climate prevailing in the region was given, the satisfaction of the heads of enterprises with the conditions of the competitive environment was noted, and the general stable situation at manufacturing enterprises was noted.
