The article deals with theoretical aspects of the concept of insolvency, causes the bankruptcy. Presents methods for the evaluation of the likelihood of bankruptcy based on financial statements. Due attention is paid to justification of the need for analysis of the occurrence of bankruptcy based on financial statements.
