ESTIMATION OF THE PROBABILITY OF ERRONEOUS INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS OF PCR ANALYSIS. PART 2. METHODOLOGY FOR ACCOUNTING FOR HUMAN FACTOR ERRORS

Бесплатный доступ

The sources of possible errors associated with the work of a human operator are considered using the example of the operation of a device for genetic analysis of the NANOFOR 05 series. Based on known models and empirical parameters, a classification and schematization of errors characteristic of various stages of work is carried out. The proposed schemes and calculation algorithms can be generalized to the case of using devices of other types that involve a dialog mode of interaction between the operator and the device. One of the known tests for the development of attentiveness, related to proofreading tests, is also described; its usage lets to reduce the number of errors caused by the influence of the human factor. In general, the factor of subjective human errors is less significant compared to failures of device elements and / or incorrect formation of an informative signal — the kinetic curve of the polymerase chain reaction in real time, for example, due to inhibition of the reaction, formation of bubbles in the reaction chamber, etc.
