Assessment of influence of two regimens of intravenous administration of a klodronat on dynamics of a pain syndrome and quality of life of patients with bone metastases of breast cancer

Breast cancer is characterized by tendency to early metastasizing: about 6 % of patients already have metastatic form of the disease at the time of diagnosis. The most frequent target are bones: for the frequency of bone metastasis, breast cancer is on the second place among malignant tumors and on the first place in absolute incidence [1, 2, 3, 4]. On the early stages, metastatic bone lesions can be asymptomatic. The aim of this study was to evaluate of the effect of the clodronate therapy on the dynamics of chronic pain syndrome and the quality of life in patients with bone metastases of breast cancer after previous treatment with zoledronic acid.
