The assessment of the impact of investment imbalances on the level of sustainability of territorial development

An important indicator for ensuring the effective functioning of enterprises and organizations, without which it is impossible to imagine the sustainable development of the country''s economy, - investment in fixed assets was analyzed in the article. On the base of official statistical data for the subjects of the Central Federal District of Russia, the problem of interregional differentiation was identified, which is due to the superiority of the region-leader of the outsider region by the investigated specific parameter by more than 5 times and is also confirmed by the values of the calculated coefficients of variation. The situation is exacerbated by the presence of a negative tendency of the level of imbalances increasing in recent years. Within the framework of the study with the help of the correlation-regression analysis, an assessment of the influence of the level of interterritorial differentiation on the specific size of investment in fixed capital on its achieved values in the district, as well as on GRP per capita for the period from 2000 to 2015 was made.
