Assessment of the possibilities of statistical monitoring of the activities of small enterprises in the field of research and development

The article conducts research on improving methodological approaches to the organization of statistical accounting of scientific research by small enterprises. Significant factors affecting the low efficiency of this process have been identified. Using the methods of applied mathematical statistics, an experimental design of sample sizes for the subjects of the Russian Federation was carried out, taking into account the specifics of small enterprises. On the example of the Perm Region, the features of the activities of small businesses in the region are considered.
