Assessment of interaction between local communities and local governments of the Murmansk region: sociological research experience

The subject of this article is the social activity of local communities of the Murmansk region. The problems of interaction between territorial society and local authorities, which have not yet been fully reflected in scientific research, are considered. This topic is of particular importance, because in the process of formation of post-Soviet civil society, the activity of the local community, aimed at solving topical social problems of the territory of residence, greatly contributes to the consolidation of society as a whole. Based on the results of the analysis of a vast amount of sociological information, the conclusion is made about the low involvement of residents in the processes of development of local communities, there is a weak degree of self-organization, solidarity, distrust of the population to the structures of power. On the part of municipal authorities, there is a formalism in building interaction with the local community, ignoring public opinion and extremely weak use of the feedback resource.
