Assessment of the interrelation: population monetary income and the share of the poor in Russia

In the paper the authors analyzed the dynamics of monetary income of the population of the Russian Federation, identified the tendency of monetary income of the population of the Russian Federation to decrease, assessed the impact of monetary income change on the growing share of the poor. The objectives of the research were to collect initial statistical data, to eliminate the inflation component from them, to identify the time tendency, to assess the impact of the growth of monetary income of the population on the reduction of the share of the poor. The methods of the research are the analysis, the synthesis, the comparison and the methods of mathematical statistics. The peculiarities of statistical data in terms of monetary income of the population are defined. The main approaches to poverty (absolute, relative, subjective) have been studied. As a result of the analysis of reliable statistical data, the tendency of change of the monetary income of the Russian Federation population (approximation with a polynomial of the 2nd degree) is proposed, the quantitative dependence between the monetary income and the share of the poor is revealed. Further directions of the study are indicated.
