The article describes the influence of evaluating activity of teacher and students on forming students' cognitive motivation in the context of person-oriented education in the process of professional training in higher educational institutions. The comparative analysis of experimental results aimed at testing the efficiency of pedagogical conditions of evaluating activity of students favorable for forming their cognitive motivation is presented.
