Evaluation and subjectivity in the underlying form of technical terms

The article is devoted to the representation of the semantic category of evaluation, irony, as well as positive and negative images and characters in the underlying form of some technical terms. Their semantic peculiarities are analyzed. The article also focuses on the specificity of the term elements that are used to coin such technical terms. General regularities of their functioning in the structure of the technical terms as well as some principles of the technical terms coining process are put into context. The representation of such technical terms within the terminologies of IT, military science, space research, ecology, nanotechnologies and genetics is discussed.
