As a result of the research on the threshing process of individual soybean plants, it was found that the formation of additional lateral branches on soybean plants significantly complicates their threshing by known combing methods that spare the integrity and viability of breeding and genetically valuable seeds. This leads to a significant slowdown in the threshing speed and reduces its quality. Analysis of previously developed devices for combing plants on the root revealed the inefficiency of their constructive solutions for individual soybean plants, since to comb all the beans from a multi-branched plant on known combing devices, it is necessary to divide the plant into its separate branches and separate each from the beans. The research conducted at V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops allowed us to develop a design of a combing device that provides combing of beans from a multi-branched soybean plant in one pass with a high coefficient of the combing process.
