One of sources of manchu studies in Europa (Latin representation about Mongols of XIII century)

In article is undertaken the attempt of the analysis of sights of Latin authors of XIII century on history and culture of the Mongols who have created the Euroasian empire. In the center of their attention are problems of the reasons of strengthening of Mongols, the feature of their culture, results of their conquests. Special attention Europeans give to the Mongolian phenomenon as a whole and to an image of Genghis Khan.
