The research is dedicated to pragmatic analysis of spoken language and is based on the material of the Speech Corpus of Russian Everyday Communication. The corpus consists of two parts called the Balanced Annotated Textbase and One Speaker's Day (ORD, from Russian “Odin Rechevoy Den”). The main task of the researchers creating the second part of the corpus was to study one day's speech behaviour of a native speaker using a method of 24-hour recording. This method provides rich material for studying all peculiarities of spontaneous speech as well as its pragmatics. As the object of this research one of the recordings was chosen. It represents a day of an informant called I35 (complete anonymity was a compulsory condition of the experiment). Different episodes of the speaker's day allow to follow how linguistic means used by the speaker change depending on the situation, what kind of speech tactics is used for different communicative scenarios, how communicative goals influence speech, what speech behaviour is typical of the informant as a native speaker. Communication with different addressees at the linguistic level reveals the informant's attitude to them, demonstrates the informant's understanding of their perception, understanding and background knowledge, shows the means of communication used to attain the desired effect. The information provided is supposed to be of use in further studying pragmatics of speech and linguistics means as those representing the speakers themselves as well as relations between participants of communication.
