Active application by unilateral restrictive measures has become one of the characteristic features of the modern international legal development. At the moment 41 national and supranational regimes of restrictive measures act against the Russian Federation. They are considered as a significant factor in the development of the Russian economy. Unilateral restrictive measures applied to the Russian Federation are contravene to the international law. They are politically motivated and violate the sovereign rights of the Russian Federation. The author shows that adequate legal mechanisms to protect the property interests of individuals and organizations in conditions of foreign restrictive measures are absent in Russia. The author also proposes the creation of special rules that can provide national protection of the property interest of the Russian individuals and organizations not only in Russia but also abroad.
