Hunting weapons in the cultures of the final Palaeolithic in the Belorussian Dnieper region

The paper examines hunting weapons used by the population which inhabited the Belorussian Dnieper region during the Final Paleolithic. The database of historiographic sources on the Final Paleolithic in the Belorussian Dnieper region includes more than 60 sites, 18 sites underwent wide-scale excavations. The technical and typological analysis of flint arrowheads from 15 settlements enabled the author to come to the conclusion that different technologies had been used to make hunting weapons. The studies found that majority of hunting weapons known in the region had been made in accordance with the traditions of the Bromme-Lyngby, Ahrensburg, Grensk and Swider cultures of the Final Paleolithic.
