Ability of the strain Ochrobactrum sp. ИБ ДТ-5.3/2 to oxidation of oil and its fractions was studied. Nitrogenfixing activity of the bacterium and degradation of hydrocarbons of the various nature were investigated during this process. The increase in potential nitrogenase activity of the soil with microorganisms Ochrobactrum sp. ИБ ДТ-5.3/2 was shown.
