O. A. Ladyzhenskaya (1922-2004) is a well-known domestic mathematician of world renown, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a prominent specialist in the field of mathematical physics, author of 345 scientific publications. 100 years have passed since her birth in the outgoing 2022. The scientific legacy she left in the field of the theory of partial differential equations, functional analysis, as well as approximate and numerical methods is diverse and very significant. She contributed to the solution of the most difficult mathematical problems, such as Hilbert's 19th and 20th problems. Her research contributed to the development of the linear and quasilinear equations theory of elliptic and parabolic types, as well as numerical methods. The scientific school of mathematical physics, the theory of partial differential equations and their applications in continuum mechanics and hydrodynamics, as well as students well known to the world mathematical community, were created by her.
