The article analyzes the unique creative works of Olzhas Suleimenov - poet, diplomat, public figure. The key figure of the world literary process, he most vividly represents the process of Kazakh bilingualism in the world that is a literary trend with a developed history and poetics. The phenomenon of Suleimenov's creativity is a phenomenon of double literary affiliation, «double literary citizenship» (A. Dravic). The poetry and poems of the modern Kazakh poet, created in Russian, have been translated into many foreign languages and published by separate books and poetic collections. Their distinctive feature is national imagery and color, traditional Kazakh mythology and knowledge of world culture. A new and diverse evaluation of Suleimenov's work by foreign critics, publishers, and literary critics is presented in the collection «World of Olzhas Suleimenov», which continues the series «International Relations of Kazakh Literature». As an example of a new science - Turkic and Slavic studies - Suleimenov's linguistic study «The Code of the Word», a kind of introduction to the Universal Etymological Dictionary «1001 word», is analyzed in this article. Starting from the book «Az and I» and finishing with the «Code of the word», the poet, the linguist, and the turkologist traces the cultural and historical role of the Turkic ethnoses in world history, the evolution of the word-sign and the symbol-word, puts forward convincing hypotheses about the proto-language.
