Problem statement. Within the literary text, the onyms occupy “an intermediate position between the names of real and fictional objects, because: a) their denotations are constructed on the basis of the experience of the artist, the writer, but they do not exist in reality; b) they are created according to models of real and unreal objects, taking into account their belonging to a certain onomastic field” [Superanskaya, 1973, p. 30]. The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the use of onyms in the artistic space of the poet; to determine the onomastic dominants of the poetic world as a concentrated cultural experience. The main methods are semantic and onomasiological analysis of proper names in the poetic text. As a result of the study, the features of the early and late periods in the use of onomastic units are determined, indicating the evolution of the poet as a creator and linguistic personality. Summary. The system of proper names in the poetic world of Yu. Morits, in their proper language function, is fundamentally different from the system of proper names in the language of other poets, such as, for example, Velemir Khlebnikov, L. Martynov, B. Akhmadulina, N. Leskov and others.
