The article deals with ontological foundations of the tolerance principle in the philosophy of transcendental cosmism of such thinkers of antiquity as Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus. The author believes that in the ontological aspect tolerance is an essential principle of the harmonious coexistence of various elements of the Cosmos as a part of the whole; the harmonious coexistence of a human in the Cosmic nature, human and human, human and society. The tolerance is the basis of the existence of both material and ideal (spiritual) sides of the Cosmos, providing a harmonious existence of the microcosm - human in the macrocosm - Universe.
