An ontological argument for the fallacy of absolute materialism in science

The article analyzes the relationship between certain epoch-making heuristic stages and the religious views of their “culprits” (pioneers in science). The aim is to find a way to increase the effectiveness of modern science and identify its untapped spiritual potential within the realm of its implementation. Presented are some arguments not only for the absence of contradictions between science and faith but also for the necessity of their special synthesis and interpenetration. Examples are presented showing the regularity of the appearance of “insane” discoveries (determining the course of historical development) made by scholars with profound theological insights and theistic worldviews. The conclusion is drawn that the prospective development of modern science does not seem possible if based solely on syllogistics within deductive reasoning and argumentation without using the relativistic principle (related in a unique way to the scholasticism of faiths). Particular attention is paid to absolutization of the role of intuitive insight / descent of divine grace for “prepared minds” when they are making discoveries. It is indicated that because of its limitation by vulgar materialism following rationality, by axiomatic method, “common” logic, Euclidean geometry, etc., heuristics is incapable of producing new epoch-making knowledge. Declared is the thesis that “materialism” in science and the uncompromising perspective of theological irrationality in solving creative super-tasks are fallacious.
