Consumer choice (which means of transportation to use, how many goods to purchase and what foods to eat) occupies an important place among the factors that can affect the reduction of the carbon footprint. However, climate change is a symptom that causes a disease called consumer culture. This article examines the relationship between the growing level of consumer demand and the damage caused to the environment, and also continues the steps that need to be taken to reduce this damage.
